And I no longer want to kill those idiots at Qobuz.Īs for upsampling, forget it, as HH sez, it sounds worse, flat. Now with everything FLAC or DSD, & Asset transcoding FLAC (play as wav) & DSD (play as is), its just so trouble free. Is there any way to set the MinimServer to see the USB drive The disk is visible in the Synology file manager application, and Roon can see it on another computer, as well as on the network. When I tried this the result is not subtle its. This principal of keeping the main fileserver and R26 on a clean side from the dirty router side is very important. looking through the forums, none of it actually relates to my issue since this occurs with an mp4 file that is downloaded from YouTube. Try using a wifi extender to connect the switch to the router, you will be surprised how much more musically coherent everything sounds. mp4 files only show this error when trying to import: I have no idea what is happening. Then I looked at converting my whole library to FLAC (but not including the DSD albums) & that was remarkably easy using dBpoweramp batch converter. We should keep in mind that not every file needs to be version controlled. However, MinimServer does not see the external USB drive. WAV files arent showing up on the importer browser, as if its an unsupported file. However, a software UPnP renderer can only work on the device its running on, since it is essentially music file decoding & playing software. So I just bought FLAC & had my Asset UPnP set FLAC to ‘play as wav’. Yes, the BubbleUPnP Android app does have a UPnP renderer and a UPnP media server in addition to its more commonly used component of a UPnP control point. BUT your ffmpeg should be version 2.3 or later. Try : dsf:wav24 96 for transcoding to 96 kHz PCM or dsf:wav24 176 for PCM-176 kHz That works for me. I had plenty of HDD file space, but I was getting very annoyed with some of the www music vendors screwing up or not embedding WAV metadata, & others no longer offering WAV as an option (OK its easy enough to convert, but its still annoying) I use the syntax dsf:wav24 which is accepted in Minimserver but nothing happens when I play DSF files. The current release of MinimServer supports Windows x86, Windows 圆4, Mac OS X, Linux x86 and Linux ARM. After setting minim to transcode flac to wav my Naim apps ‘playlists’ would miss the transcoded files when I played the list & had to remake the playlist. It supports all the features of LUMIN and much of the development and testing of LUMIN has been performed with MinimServer. You could try putting an MP3 or M4A file in the same folder to see whether this shows up. My files are of varied file types, although recently I’ve made them wav files as standard when putting a new cd onto the network drive (PLENTY of space on my drive). Have you checked the MinimServer log for error messages If there are no error messages, the WAV files might be in a folder that is not being scanned.
